westone 4 vs ie80 ?? is it worth going for ie80.. help wanted
i listen to metal quite frequently, but i have found myself listening to other genres, where a beat and bass is extremely important, but lack of soundstage would make the song sound less entertaining. Bass is important to me, but as i have an amp and a very good mp3 player, i can boost it...- Vanitasmoriendi

westone 4 vs ie80 ?? is it worth going for ie80.. help wanted
In terms of lows do you love the SM3 or W4R better? How about sound stage? Have you had any experience with Sennheiser IE80s? Trying to decide between the three. Replacing my SM3's for now :(. or maybe keeping them. Depending on what i read on these forums. SM3's so far have been my best friend...- Vanitasmoriendi

Ultrasone Pro 900 questions?
The Ultrasone Pro 900 Firstly, i highly recommend an amp (fiio e11 is the one i use) Secondly, i highly recommend a better mp3 player (i am selling a cowon s9) if you are buying such high quality headphones, i suggest having a high quality player with it Third, they are fairly big and...- Vanitasmoriendi

Beats Pro Vs Ultrasone Pro 900
i know its a few months after the thread was started but let me tell you something about the beats and the ultrasone. Firstly. Do not get beats. Secondly. Do not get beats. Etc. When i bought the beats , i already knew they were not going to be good. I was proven right. The 'in...- Vanitasmoriendi

westone 4 vs ie80 ?? is it worth going for ie80.. help wanted
If you want an accurate reproduction, with amazing and clear bass (i know how those doom metal and black metal double bass drums go, for which you need to hear every little detail), try the Earsonics SM3. Ive been using them for almost a year and they are so far by far the best earphones ive...- Vanitasmoriendi

Westone 4R Vs. SM3 V2 Vs Sennheiser ie80
Firstly let me apologize if a thread like this already exists. I am currently using the Earsonics sm3 v2, and am sending them back to either replace, or change them to either westone 4r or sennheiser ie80 Can anyone with knowledge of all 3 explain to me the differences and mainly, why...- Vanitasmoriendi

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Thanks for all the replies guys. So these headphones have a natural low volume? Does it have to do with the 96 DB sensitivity? I'm not a pro at that. The lower the lower the volume they can put out? Is it my player that distorts on high volume and not the headphones?- Vanitasmoriendi

i live in the US. but either way they sound very distorted on higher volumes as if the track is low quality. Thats what scares me. I really hope its the burn in time needed.- Vanitasmoriendi

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
OK so I have read a billion people saying how great the bass is. Are my headphones defective or do i just need a burn in? I have a cowon j3 and earsonics sm3 when the lows are cranked up they sound amazing. I got the ultrasones today and the volume that I usually listen on 28, now has to be...- Vanitasmoriendi

Bass Lover here, DT770 vs D1100 vs HFi 580 vs Pro700MK2 vs Crossfade LP1/LP2
Firstly, macro thank you for your reply. I highly doubt they are faulty because when I plugged them into my keyboard the sound was phenomenal. No matter how loud I made the keyboard the ultrasone 900s could withstand the bass and the sound in general. When I plug them into my cowon, not only is...- Vanitasmoriendi

Bass Lover here, DT770 vs D1100 vs HFi 580 vs Pro700MK2 vs Crossfade LP1/LP2
Also i plugged in the headphones into my korg triton, and no matter what volume i crank it up it sounds very amazing. Im just wondering if its the player.. even though its a cowon j3... I guess the best option would be to get an amp, im thinking PA2V2. Any suggestions? because at this point i...- Vanitasmoriendi

Bass Lover here, DT770 vs D1100 vs HFi 580 vs Pro700MK2 vs Crossfade LP1/LP2
Just got the headphones. I have a Cowon j3 with the lows cranked up and so far the headphones seem to produce a very distorted bass and I have to raise volume in order for it to be equivalent to my earsonics sm3. My music is high quality and given the Rep of the headphones shouldn't they be able...- Vanitasmoriendi
