Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆
Hi all, Although I don't have a Poly yet, I've been following this thread with great interest. Regarding wifi dropouts, I observed something yesterday that might be of relevance to those who are reading this thread. When I work out at home on my elliptical, I typically listen to music stored...- usrlocal

Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆
Is it at all possible to obtain a Poly in Canada right now? The hfiheadphones.ca website says it's still back-ordered: https://www.hifiheadphones.ca/chord-poly/ And neither the UK and US Amazons, nor Moon Audio will ship Polys to Canada. Any Canadians out there with a Poly? If so, how did you...- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
Yeah, that's what saddens me the most. I considered the X5 to be the perfect transport for the Mojo, especially given the coax connectivity. Ah well.- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
A while back, in fact not long after my last post in this thread, my lightly used X5 gen 1 suddenly died while being used as a transport for my Mojo via coax. It just bricked for no apparent reason. All attempts since have failed to resuscitate it, and I've given up. I'm afraid this experience...- usrlocal

Although I don't have a Poly yet, I've tried numerous Android MPD apps to push bits from my Linux MPD server to my Mojo. Of all the ones I've tried, I'm most satisfied with MPD Remote. It's has a lightweight and clean UI and does exactly what I want. I *think* it does gapless, but I'm not in...- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
Oh, and just to update: I went with the Chord Mojo in the end. Works fantastically well with my X5 and Fidelio X2 headphones. I'm quite blown away by the SQ improvement, especially in the details, which is just what I was looking for. So thanks again everyone for your advice! Now on to new...- usrlocal

I would avoid using solvents like isopropanol or Windex. That'll just make the problem worse.- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
Ok! That's quite an endorsement. Will definitely have a closer look at stacking my X5 with a good DAC/amp like the Mojo or iDSD BL. Thanks a lot guys - this never would have occurred to me as a viable solution if I hadn't seen your replies here.- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
Thanks all for your responses! Given the info provided, I think it's pretty clear that the X5iii is not what I'm looking for. I'm going to look more closely at the Mojo for my X5. That might be a great stop-gap solution until I decide to splurge for the X7ii. p.s. apologies to niron for going...- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
Yeah, I was debating about whether to post here or there, but nobody over in the X5iii forum seems particularly interested in the X5i anymore. I figured that in this forum I might have better luck finding someone who has tried both and could offer a meaningful comparison. And, yes, I've been...- usrlocal

Thanks for your response. I guess I prefer a more detailed sound, but with a full-bodied bass when listening to heavier rock music (which is where the E11K has helped). With my current setup I'm finding quieter passages, say involving acoustic guitar, not as crisp and defined as I'd like. I do...- usrlocal

The Fiio X5 Thread
Hey all, Been lurking in these forums for a while, but I'd like to know if anyone can provide me with a direct comparison of the sound quality between the X5 1st gen and the X5 3rd gen. I currently own the X5 1st gen and use it with an E11K amp and my Fidelio X2 headphones. I realize that the...- usrlocal
