Aftermarket IEM Cable List (Now more Visually Stimulating)
Looking for a midrange (Max £60) Westone style 2 pin with in line mic. Just need a multipurpose cable for music on the go and phonecalls, and maybe desktop skype if they're good enough! Ring any bells for anyone? Can't see anything applicable in main thread.- Useraid

Rockbox style bookmarking feature. Desired behavior: File is bookmarked (manually or automatically, rockbox has optional feature to bookmark each time song is stopped). There is a small list of bookmarks of recent files played which is user selectable.bookmarks.. Would need Bookmark menu... -
High End CIEM/IEM Thread!
My post was clumsily worded. She noticed that the IEMs were moving in and out of the ear with jaw movement and said that this was not desirable. She did explain how the cartilage flexes with jaw movement and that in the jaw open position the IEM should be slightly looser but form the tightest...- Useraid

High End CIEM/IEM Thread!
CIEM question. Have a pair that don't seem to sound quite 'right' and they seal fine with jaw closed but unseal when mouth moves say into a facial expression or opening and closing (impressions taken with jaw open about 1cm, no biteblock). I see now that many IEM makers require open mouth...- Useraid

The Fiio X5 Thread
Is there a feature request/comment thread? If it hasn't been mentioned already, a rather big omission for me is the lack of a rockbox style bookmarking feature. Yes the player resumes the last file played, but this is no good if you were listening to an audiobook and then listen to other songs...- Useraid

The Fiio X5 Thread
Hi just got mine today and have a few Qs: 1. Is there a screen protector on there already? When I removed the tab it also removed a plastic sheet that it was attached to, wondering if this was the protector 2. Low and High gain, would high be for phones needing more power like cans?- Useraid

How to tell if equipment bottleneck
I've posted this question in various guises but never received a response. Basically I have a new CIEM that doesn't satisfy me sonically, I am wondering if it is the CIEM itself, the sources, or the music which is causing the problem. Usually use a Clip+ and noticed the CIEMs sounded...- Useraid

Headphone & Amp Impedance Questions? Find the answers here!
Have new pair of 4 driver earphones which need to be treble boosted on all sources except when attached to speaker + amp (B&W MM1 in this case) does this tend to indicate portables are too weak to drive earphones?- Useraid

New customs, some questions
Just got some new custom IEMS (my first) and noticed something rather odd. I've had to tune my source device, the Sansa Clip Zip to about 10 points more treble as the default untouched sound is muffled, almost muddy sounding. I'm wondering if this could be fit related as it is hard or...- Useraid

Lime Ears thread - introducing the LE3SW
Well I am considering getting the switch-able 3 driver. Either than or 1964. Anyone have any other recommendations, or has tried both?- Useraid

Customs too much isolation for traffic?
My last IEMS were Westone 4Rs that I sadly lost on a flight. I am now buying a replacement and trying to decide between getting another 4R or a custom like 1964 or earsonics. I am wondering if anyone has 4/R and a custom so they can tell me if custom isolates sound a lot more than 4? I...- Useraid

Westone 4r replacement?
Hmm interesting. The 4rs are actually slightly cheaper than resellers here (UK), of course direct would be cheaper but depends on import duty. Also offers only a 1 year warranty and Westone offer up to 3 with registration. Any reviews with comparisons of the two?- Useraid

Westone 4r replacement?
Well managed to lose my 4R on a flight. Was originally a 4, but was upgraded to an R during last warranty repair (had only had it back 2-3 weeks!). So now the mourning period is over, need to either re-purchase or look for something in the same price range but better? Just checking here in case...- Useraid

Anyone have Smart Wireless Headset pro?
Was wondering how it performed considering there are no reviews I can see out there: http://anythingbutipod.com/2012/06/sonys-smart-wireless-headset-pro-combines-mp3-player-and-wireless-headset-dongle/ Might be a good clip+ replacement considering battery life, sd card and bonus...- Useraid

Audiophile successor to iPod - Neil Young and Steve Jobs had plans!!
They're talking about high quality, greater than cd sound there, which is why they said 15% for cds and 5% for mp3s which makes sense if you think of the masters at 192khz while the cd is only 44.1. So yes at those sizes 30 minutes per song might be an exaggeration considering a 192khz...- Useraid
