Noisy iPhone 6s Output?
Anyone else experienced a noisy iPhone 6s headphone output when connected to a high impedance input? I recorded a sample and cranked up the gain to make it easier to hear. In actual practice it's fairly quiet, but definitely audible...- turkeylord

FWIW to future searchers... I wound up going with the Behringer Xenyx 302USB & V-moda BoomPro. Actually using in combination with my FiiO E10K as my softphone output device so I can set it's volume independent of other computer sounds. E10K feeds the 2-track input on the mixer. Zero...- turkeylord

I'm going to bump this one. I have the same need. Ideally, I'd love to have a nice USB DAC to go with it that has an iPhone style TRRS headphone jack capable of handling mic and remote inputs. I don't think one exists unfortunately.- turkeylord

I bought 2 Chinese replacement cables - one with mic/remote and one without. Both work great. The non-mic'd cable I sleeved and re-terminated for my daughter, she's getting M40xs for Christmas.- turkeylord

The FiiO E10K--all-new DAC and amp stages
I didn't think the iPhone would support a "SPIDF Interface" (as Windows calls it) driver wise. Hoping someone else can confirm before I drop $30 on the "Camera" host dongle.- turkeylord
