Looking for a watch - $1000
I too am looking for a watch in the $1,000 range (college graduation coming up). I'd like it to be new and automatic, with a leather band and simple face, which seems to limit my options. I really like the simple version of the Tag Heuer Carerra, and some of the Stowa watches that have...- trb36

Spring is here, What's your allergy medicine?
I grew up in southern California, and I guess because it was so dry I never had spring allergies. But I spent last summer in New York city, and after my first night I woke up with a terrible droopy eye, so I had to use Zaditor eye drops for a few weeks. I also took Benadryl for the regular...- trb36

What's the logic behind baby on board signs in vehicles?
I'd say so. Personally, I'm a pretty careful driver so I don't do much different when I see the sticker. However, I've been rear-ended three times - so maybe I should get one just to get people to watch out for me (or would that be immoral?).- trb36

Essential jazz artists/albums of all time?
I'd say Jaco Pastorious' self-titled is essential because of his innovations on the fretless electric bass - if that's something you're interested in. -
Workout Music
I listen to death metal or house. It's hard for me to appreciate and enjoy music after 40 minutes on an erg, so I have to listen to something that just mindlessly entertains me and keeps me on the machine. -

What book are you reading right now?
I just finished "The Prize" by Daniel Yergin, and am about to start "The House of Morgan" by Ron Chernow.- trb36

AKG Differences in Product Range (whatdoichooose?)
I can share my opinions on the third question. The K601s fit your musical tastes very well. However, they are very big and a little too fragile for use while commuting. They also require a decent amplifier. If you decide to look into a desktop setup though, they are definitely something to...- trb36

Should I take my Gilmore Lite as carry-on or pack it in my bags
I used to check my bass guitar while traveling to and from school, but after the airline "lost it" (I got it a back a few days later...but still...) and it started getting cracks in it's hard shell plastic case, I decided to stop. I vote carry-on, or ship it.- trb36

Help with source (amp?)
The lack of an amp shouldn't cause "tons of distortion". Is the distortion coming from certain recordings, or from all of them? I found that when I upgraded my headphones, they brought out the distortion that was in the recordings themselves. Other than that, my first guess would be that the...- trb36
