    I had that same skipping/pausing/restarting problem with my X3II, I fixed it by turning off the in-line headphone control.  After I did that, no more playback problems at all.   Good luck.

    I had a similar problem with my new X3ii (on 1.4) it would randomly stutter on high resolution (192/24 - 96/24) flacs. What i did was re-encode my files as aiff files, still at 192/24 or 96/24, and they play perfectly now.    My thinking is that there may be some issue with high resolution...

    I had a pair of these and your review is spot on. After something like 6 or 7 years, the right ear bud finally bought the proverbial farm. They were great for what they were: last decade's technology.
