Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!

Eric Clapton Unplugged - Layla.  Feels like you are in the performance.  One of the best live performance recording ever.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZV7akaSo0s&feature=player_detailpage

LCD-2, LCD-3, Owners and the Music They Love...

Eagles - Hell freezes over (CD). Hotel Califonia is "hauntingly" fantastic.

    Need your opinion on this...

Your music preference may require you to invest in 2 headphones - HD800 for classical due to it's ability to present a wide soundstage. Pop and rock requires a pair of phones that gives an intimate music experience, like your are sitting in the front row of a performance - LCD2 or Grado RS1 I...

Starter Setup Needed- ~$2000 to spend

How about Woo Audio WA6SE? I am using it to drive the LCD3. Happy with the combination. Good for jazz.

    Can you trust Audeze?

Quote:   Although quality control is lacking, the service of the company and its dealership is impeccable.  I exchanged 2 pairs of LCD-3 due to faulty drivers, no questions asked at all.  They gladly brought me a new headphone to my home every time.  What else can I ask for?  Kudos to...

    New Audeze LCD3

I has quite bad experience with the LCD-3 too. My first pair's right driver died on me after just 2 hrs. The second pair suffered the same fate but on the left driver. Luckily I have a dealer in my country and since the headphones were well within the 7 days 1 for 1 exchange, I got a third pair...

    WA3, WA2, WA6/WA6SE comparison from Jack

I am on the LCD-3 and WA6SE.  This pair is able to deliver sufficient "juice" for me to enjoy Bon Jovi and Guns & Roses.

Why do Tube amps supposedly work best with the GS1000i?

I am using the WA6SE with the Grado GS1000i.  The amp has managed to tame some of the brightness of the GS.  However, it still have sufficient low end to deliver the punch for rock music (eg, Bon Jovi, Guns & Roses).

    Is Grado evolving too slowly?

Love my grado gs1000. Based on my limited experience (no flames pls), I have not found a headphone that brings grado's level of intimacy to the music experience. However, grado do need to improve on quality. The ear cups disintegrated on me recently after just one year. I think grado's niche...

    Audiophilia as a burden?

After reading this thread, I noticed I have been spending more money on gear than on music. It's like putting the cart before the horse. My new year resolution is to buy more music instead and enjoy my existing setup as much as possible. :p

    "Your current favorite headphone" thread!

Grado GS1000 for rock LCD-3 for other genre I like my music to be intimate. These 2 phones IMO brings me to the front row of the performance. Feeling that I m there with the performers. Not the best in terms of soundstage and airiness though.
