I am on the LCD-3 and WA6SE.  This pair is able to deliver sufficient "juice" for me to enjoy Bon Jovi and Guns & Roses.    

I am using the WA6SE with the Grado GS1000i.  The amp has managed to tame some of the brightness of the GS.  However, it still have sufficient low end to deliver the punch for rock music (eg, Bon Jovi, Guns & Roses).    

Love my grado gs1000. Based on my limited experience (no flames pls), I have not found a headphone that brings grado's level of intimacy to the music experience. However, grado do need to improve on quality. The ear cups disintegrated on me recently after just one year. I think grado's niche...

After reading this thread, I noticed I have been spending more money on gear than on music. It's like putting the cart before the horse. My new year resolution is to buy more music instead and enjoy my existing setup as much as possible. :p

Grado GS1000 for rock LCD-3 for other genre I like my music to be intimate. These 2 phones IMO brings me to the front row of the performance. Feeling that I m there with the performers. Not the best in terms of soundstage and airiness though.
