thanks again! So I feel kind of dumb...but I think I’ve solved it. I turned off relevant notifications on my iPhone but not my iPad. And had them connected at the same time. I find the connection to both a bit flaky so I just disconnected for now from the iPad. Thanks!

Thanks for replying. They were connected to my iPhone and iPad. I shut the notifications on my iPhone but I’m wondering if the iPad caused the issues rather than the iPhone.

Yes they do. I haven’t found that much of an issue but this is because I also have some Bose qc30s for actual noise cancellation. I think the sony’s May be able to replace both. The sound is still a tad better on the sennheisers. I now think the comfort is about equal.

Thanks for your view - very helpful. I would imagine noise cancelling would be much better with the Sony’s. the Sennheiser noise cancelling isn’t great. But comfort is a big deal to me.
