No more red pulsing light when fast charging since the last firmware update (pale blue..). Slow red pulsing light when connected to a Laptop for File Transfer... no problem for me because the RS8 sounds sublime.. Every week better! Enjoy!

I would check your files / tags.. No problems here.... 1.4TB music on it...

I don't have an M8 so I don't know :-). The RS8 isn't dark sounding...but it has a natural "analog" tuning...you can listen to it for hours without strain your ears...it sounds just fantastic imo. I've also the new AK SE300 (R2R) which sounds supberb too...and this 2 DAP's are argains compared...

Buy the Hiby RS8 and you're done... fantastic DAP!

Same "problem" here.....it's a bug I think and will be fixed in the next update ;-). BTW the filter "Darwin Ultra" is incredible...maybe placebo :-). Love it, sounds fantastic to me...

Yo've to clean your tags (with mp3tag for example). Delete all tags related to replayGain and then scan your music with SP3000 again...this should help

Simply my thoughts.. It can't get better imo... A superb DAP from AK! It equals the sound quality (not Software quality :-) of the RS8 imo and even surpassed it at least with jazz tunes...

@ Joe Bloggs If I set the RS8 to NOS and use Neutron with 16x oversampling then ist uses the OS-Engine from Neutron? If I set the RS8 to OS and use Neutron with 16x Oversampling it uses the RS8 oversampling circuit or the the neutron or both?? Thanks :-).

I agree with everything you said about the RS8...it's my endgame DAP because it hits my sweet spot perfectly..in all aspects. I'm not an audiophile like you guys...so I'm not able to describe the sound characteristis with the appropiate terms like you. To me the RS8 sounds the most "correct" and...

IMO the RS8 is still the best DAP until today (Sound; build quality; software; usabilitiy). I just bought the AK SE300 (also R2R) which sounds fantastic too. But the RS8 is still more analog and natural sounding...just the perfect match for my musical taste and ears. Love both...one week...

My SE300 was shipped more than a week ago with version 1.01!??
