... looking for cans to use at work. He tried my Shure 840s (which I love) and liked the sound but found them way too heavy to wear all day. He needs some isolation so closed will be best. Budget is ~$100 US. He's looking at used Bose headphones.

I ride and race road bikes, and use 1 earbud when riding- the right bud. Leave the left out so you can hear traffic. Also, use non-isolating buds.
