New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)
Don't really wanna get wrapped up in this, but you have preferences that these headphones don't satisfy and are arguing an entirely subjective point. Now, first rule of Audiophile Club is 1) everyone's ears are different (and don't talk about Audiophile Club) so Technobear is doing his best to...- TommiK

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
Maybe someone has an idea: are there any 3rd party mini-XLR cables that are compatible with the DT 1770 Pro? Or possibly shorter officials coming down the line (Hanselmann?)- TommiK

So why are so many headphones UNCOMFORTABLE????

Best audiophile grade Headphone under $200
On your budget if you don't mind an open-back design, Grado has a few sets under $200 (SR80e (awesome entry level open cans) , SR125e and SR225e) that are all going to be exceptionally clear with a wide soundstage--but not everbody finds the design comfortable for long-term listening. Grados...- TommiK

New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)
Thanks Klaus! I actually made reference to you once or twice in my review and used your Head-Fi posts as a primary source while researching. I'm wondering what your take is (as a product manager) on developing the T1 from a non-technical perspective? What kind of things do you think make a Beyer...- TommiK

The new one's big sell is that it has modular drivers (and pads/headbands) so it seems like they are trying to offer some choices to make up for the first edition's shortcomings.- TommiK

Any of you guys tried the new TMA-2 from AIAIAI? I liked the design of the TMA-1 but it never really was that comfortable in practice--I know the TMA-2 has some new earpad options.- TommiK

New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)
I'm that guy! John is not, but he drops in from time to time I'm trying to look at these devices from a different perspective, because anyone in-the-know definitely can glean what they need technically from Head-Fi and other reviewers. But electronics have a character that...- TommiK

New Member Introductions thread
Hi all, lurker here. I check Head-Fi all the time for a litany of good opinions (and especially good historic content/info/images of rare headphones) to get a feel for headphones before I try them. I'm a musician (mostly noise and industrial type stuff) I live in NYC, and I work at a headphone...- TommiK
