Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!
Hi! So recently a friend gave me back a D2000 that I sold to him several years ago, he told me I can have them back for free if I want, because they are in a really bad condition--he used them heavily and the ear pads and headband padding and covering fell apart, cable was broken in a few places...- TomKure

Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless
Does anyone else notice a slight "clicking" or "crackling" noise coming from the headphones when you push the cup slightly towards your head and the pad compresses a bit? This happens to me whenever I am putting them on or adjusting their position on my head. I am afraid whether the driver...- TomKure

New Sony Walkman NW-A300 Series (Android 12)
I have the Japanese version, bought from a Japanese seller on ebay. It does have the play store and it drives my HD660S2 to what I consider quite loud listening levels at volume set to 100 out of 120, so it should drive your 599's quite well.- TomKure

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
This looks like Solderdude's measurement from DIY Audio Heaven: https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/brands-s-se/hd-660s2/ His review is one of a few that helped me to decide to buy the HD660S2 even though I already had the 58X, and I'm definitely not sorry I bought...- TomKure

Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)
Looking at German Amazon, the UA3 is just 120 Euro. That is not much in my opinion, considering how good it sounds. A small dongle that will definitely be an upgrade over any integrated audio.- TomKure

Denon AH-D5200 (little brother of the AH-D7200)
I personally would not listen to a higher end headphone like the D5200 using integrated audio. Unless it's a mobo model where the manufacturer paid special attention to the audio section, you will likely hear the noise from the CPU VRM stage, like a silent buzz whenever you move the mouse or...- TomKure

Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread
So I went on a quest to find the best replacement earpads for the 1AM2. I have bought the following 3: "Geekria" off amazon.de "Poyatu" off aliexpress "Adhiper" off amazon.co.jp I hoped they are not all made in the same Chinese factory and just sold under different brands, and luckily, they are...- TomKure

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
Yeah I might just have gotten unlucky with the 660S2. Luckily it seems better lately, not sure if the frame is adjusting or my hearing is adjusting to the noises. I'm too lazy to pack them and send them back just because of this...- TomKure

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
Hi, I have both and this is my opinion: The general sound signature is very similar, same amounts of bass/mids/treble. But the 660S2 is, at least to me, quite obviously better technically. The 660S2's treble is more detailed and natural, especially in vocals and cymbals. The 58X has this slight...- TomKure

Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread
So now that the new 1AM2 arrived, I can compare it to the used one with replacement pads on it. The first thing I noticed when I put on the new one, is that it hurts my auricles, because the original Sony pads are shallower and the grill in front of the driver touches my ear pinnae. I am very...- TomKure

Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread
I bought them from German Amazon, item name is "Geekria Replacement Earpads for MDR-1AM2, MDR-1AM2/B Headphones Ear Pads Ear Pads Repair Parts (Black/Plastic Ring)". They are quite good I think, I hope I will be able to compare them to undamaged original ones soon- TomKure

Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread
Update: So the used pair arrived about a week ago and while I would not describe the condition as "very good", I was so impressed I actually ordered a new one. The earpads were falling apart, balanced cable was missing (not needed at all but still) and there was no box nor carrying pouch. Also...- TomKure

So I ordered a used pair from Japanese Amazon, "very good" condition, ~140€ incl shipping. Can't wait till they arrive, hope they are indeed in a good condition, not a piece someone modded or something...- TomKure

Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread
Thanks for the suggestion, but all the offers I see on ebay are from outside of the EU, which means that if I add shipping, VAT and customs, they will end up being more expensive than they're worth IMO. They'd need to be under $200 incl. shipping from outside the EU for me to want to buy them...- TomKure

Any ideas where I could buy a new 1AM2 in Europe with shipping to the Czech Republic? They've been sold out for years here in CZ and Amazon.de only has a used one- TomKure
