Update 6/2/2022 Ten years after this review, I'm happy to report I still use my Sennheiser 598s. They've survived five moves across three states and the only wear and tear are on the earcups, which need to be replaced after nearly daily use for ten years. If and when these ever break, I'd gladly purchase a pair of the latest version.
