Several questions about custom ear molds for in-ear monitors
Thanks! I've since read a lot about them and already had a set of impressions made. I'm looking for a full custom one, from Ultimate Ears, 1964Ears, etc. I'll make a decision in the next week or so.- thrillscience

Grado Fan Club!
That's what I meant. These are the first high-end cans I've owned, so I don't have a lot to compare them too. You really have to take a chance on your first purchase; I read a lot of reviews, and auditioned them. And of course, the fact that I'm from Brooklyn was a plus. It's like going back...- thrillscience

Grado Fan Club!
I listen to Classical and Jazz. These Grado RS1i are doing a great job. (Granted, I don't have a lot of experience with "audiophile" headphones) I'm thinking of getting a "closed" pair as well, just so I have a little variety. Not sure what manufacturer I will try. Here they are...- thrillscience

My detachable cable wont detach?
Of course, all cables are detachable if you pull hard enough. Be careful if it looks like your forcing something....- thrillscience

Mini review: Westone UM2 vs Westone 2
The UM2 is being discounted heavily now, and I picked up a pair from Sweetwater ($169.00) after getting a notice of their December specials. They arrived today. I don't really have anything to compare them to. The only other "in ears" I had were very cheap pairs. These sound very nice...- thrillscience

Several questions about custom ear molds for in-ear monitors
I'm intrigued by custom ear molds, and I have several questions. (I've never had a pair, so I know little about them) 1. Can I get custom molds for any in-ear headphone, or only ones that are designed for it (like the Etomotic)? Or can I get one made for, say, a Grado GR8 or GR10? 2. How...- thrillscience

Schiit Owners Unite
I have to say, I really like the look of the Woo Wa7, but I wasn't able to hear one locally, and the niceness of the glass cube is offset by the power supply brick. Maybe if I get a second amp for the office!- thrillscience

Schiit Owners Unite
Just got a Valhalla and Bifrost. This is my first venture into tubes in 30 years. I had tube equipment as a kid, (I'm 51) because that's what was in hand-me-downs from relatives, etc. But as an adult, all the equipment I purchased was solid state. So now that I'm all grown up and have a...- thrillscience
