If you have a solid-state power amplifier that sounds a little bright or harsh to you, you could warm it up and soften it by using the dark voice as a preamp . If you did try to power a set of speakers they would have to roughly be 100db...- ThermalAlchemy

Another option you can slightly leave A little more lead laying on your resistors and adjacent components . Then you need to leave push them over at an angle and then cook them back up in a straight position so they look correct . This way you can push out one or 2 mm in each direction ...- ThermalAlchemy

"Millett Hybrid" redux: NuHybrid headphone amp, using the Korg Nutube
Being kind of a newbie myself one thing I have learned if you’re going to do a custom case you don’t have to worry so much about the size of the caps . You can always install the capacitors from the bottom side of the board where you have plenty of room . Don’t worry the electrons won’t know...- ThermalAlchemy

Orange blob caps if somebody had a old-style capacitor checker from the 50s or 60s like to Heathkit or any other you can test those capacitors simply running up the voltage in till shows failure, that would give you the rough voltage capacity. If somebody else had a good ESR meter in capacity...- ThermalAlchemy

Would you like a photocopy or detailed picture with measurements so you can overlay on a Perf bored and do some point the point and just lay down your own traces or wire . I have a set I have not populated the board yet sitting on my shelf. Unless you must have a board I know it is much...- ThermalAlchemy

Don’t worry about heat unless you’re in a climate of 80°F plus you can do the conversion for Celsius . You simply fix the overheating problem with a six-inch 12 V computer fan and run it at 6 V no higher than 7 V is more than adequate enough of the air movement to cool off part face either...- ThermalAlchemy
