Lately I've been trying to get into folk/alt-country music. I've been really enjoying bands like Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Birdie Busch, and Hoots and Hellmouth, and I'd like to get into more traditional folk music. Anyone have any recommendations for me?

for me, it's just the discovery of folk music. it just really struck me as a raw, unaltered genre- i'm lovin it.
