Upgrading from ad700 possibly to akg 701
Hi, I was thinking about upgrading from by ath ad700s to the akg 701s, as the 701s are on sale on amazon right now for about $190 USD. Is this a worthwhile upgrade? I currently have a asus xonar stx, would I be able to drive these headphones well? Thanks for any advice.- ThePinhead

What are the best headphones for the Asus Xonar STX?
I currently have AD700's with a xonar STX, and I was thinking about maxing out my sound card with the best headphones for it. I'm not interested in going with a full on dedicated amp, or any of that. Any recommendations are appreciated, thanks.- ThePinhead

upgrading from ad700's
I really just love the clarity on the ad700's, and I'm assuming the ad900's are even more clear. Bass isn't really a big deal for me but it couldn't hurt. I've almost forgotten what bass is like now that I've been using these for about a year.- ThePinhead

Best headphones for someone who already has a asus xonar stx (up to 600 ohms)
well I'm honestly looking for mostly clarity, and from what I've seen that usually doesn't require much in terms of amps. so would that make the dt 990 pro a good jump from the ad700's? and I'd honestly rather not deal with selling the stx, I've had too much trouble with ebay to ever want...- ThePinhead

I read in another forum that the stx couldn't juice a dt880, is that true?- ThePinhead

Alright I'm looking for my first pair of good headphones that I will be using for gaming and music. I've been looking at headphones like the dt880's, and the sennheiser HD 595's,600's.(if there is something better for what I want let me know) But the problem is figuring out what kind...- ThePinhead
