Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
Quote: I prefer the NAD, but I still like the DP-1 for its DAC. Thanks Purrin! Purrin's descriptions and comparison between the two DACs is spot on and Anaxalus's last comment about DP-1 is too. I've paired it with my Yamamoto HA-02 and W3000ANV for my bedroom rig. It's quite...- tehmom

H3 Meet Impressions LA 8/18/2012 Thread
A big thank you and props to purrin, n3rdling, LFF, Anaxilus, Teufelshunde, Ultrabike, Questhate, itshot, MisterRogers, and everyone else who helped out with the meet. This was my first meet and I found the quantity and quality of gear to be overwhelming. The setup worked out really well; it...- tehmom

2012 Headphone Meet @ LAX Hilton - Saturday, August 18, 2012 - OFFICIAL THREAD
Sorry, haven't checked this thread in a while; I had been pm-ing with n3rdling and he has my equipment listed, but I guess I was overlooked for table space because I didn't post it. I'm bringing: Yamamoto HA-02 April Music Eximus DP-1 Fostex HP-P1 Pure I-20 (not on the list, but...- tehmom

Moon Audio Reviews
I recently purchased an Eximus DP-1 and before that, a fostex HP-P1. Both were smooth transactions. Drew always responds quickly to any questions that I have; he's a pleasure to deal with.- tehmom

New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones
I didn't think the bass was heavy then or now. In fact, for me, it could use just a wee bit more. It's just that it sounded loose/boomy to me when I first got them. edit: Looked at the Describing Sound glossary. I shouldn't have said "boomy" because, I don't know what bass at 125...- tehmom

New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones
Quote: I like it, but I don't have much for comparison. I have a Fostex HP-P1, the HA-02, and the Zana Deux. I have the HA-02 for my bedside rig and am happy with that, but I was curious about the Zana Deux and after digging around and reading more about it I got one. To me the HA-02...- tehmom

I think they're worth it. Don't look back; just enjoy them. I got hold of an older Zana Deux and I'm loving W3000ANV with it. I'm going to use Yamamoto HA-02 for the bedside rig.- tehmom

New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones
Yes, in the beginning, mine seemed to spring back a bit, so I increased the pressure that I used to bend it a little at a time until it would hold the new shape.- tehmom

If you can get the tension in the band right it will work with that slight tension that is in the wings to make a snug, comfortable fit. The cups are angled a bit like a "V" even when you put them on. I presume it's to follow the shape of the head. I don't think my head is large, but I have a...- tehmom
