Apogee Duet in the red
Well, you may be perfectly right on the matter, but I guess the meter measures what's going on in the analog domain? That would mean that they measure what's going to the converters. If the Mac could never go past 0dB on the output in the digital domain your statement should be valid. So you are...- Tantra

Apogee Duet in the red
The red light is there for a reason. If you can hear distortion when Duet goes red just turn down the input a tad to get undistorted playback. That applies to all software sources used.- Tantra

DT770 Pro: PA2V2 enough to drive them?
Just buy the 80 ohm version of the DT 770 PRO. The 250 ohm version will not give you any added value.- Tantra

Pro Tools & Keyboard
Well, based on my personal experience I would not recommend Cubase. I had to do too much tweaking and bug-fixing to get it running smoothly. And when I got the recommendation on the Steinberg forum NOT to upgrade a well working version of Cubase I just had enough. I switched to Logic. And have...- Tantra

DT 880 vs. K 701
Sorry, but I'm right in the middle of this. I'm so near at buying a 701 of the DT 880 right now. Or just the opposite. And my reference is the excellent studio phones HD600 and the Hi-Fi set D-2000. I really like them both. They are just enjoyable, both on their own terms. Any constructive...- Tantra

Denon AH-D2000 in the house

It is very correct, just perfect Hi-Fi. It will put the nail on the spike. Well, it will roll of...- Tantra

Pro Tools & Keyboard
I may be repeating something said in some of the previous posts, but: If you want to record audio (vocals, guitar etc) and MIDI (synth or MIDI-controller) you would need an audio interface and a sequencer to get going. Pro Tools is the standard for the professional studios in the US. It's...- Tantra

Pro Tools & Keyboard
The Digidesign Mbox 2 would be a decent start. It includes the Pro Tools LE and some nice software and plug-ins.- Tantra

Sorry Skylab, don't want to be negative, but do you really consider the Lisa III portable? How big would a non-portable amp be then?- Tantra

ATH-ES7 any good with MacBook Pro?
I have a MacBook Pro coming in a few weeks time. I would like a closed/sealed headphone that works well straight out of the headphones out. Does anyone have experience with the MacBook Pro and ATH-ES7?- Tantra

how to get your kmixer back?
There seems to be no uniform quick fix to the problem. You may find a solution here: http://www.google.no/search?hl=no&q=...S%C3%B8k&meta= Your problem may very well be somewhere in the Windows registry. Hope this helps.- Tantra
