Creative Aurvana 3 are a pretty good set of dual-driver BA IEMs that retail for $150.   They are now $77 new or $47 used on Amazon.  They have been as low as $60 new I believe, but still a good deal at this price!   I had them and the Shure SE425 at the same time and they were comparable...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

ATH-CK90Pro is strangely mysterious, ESPECIALLY the MK.II    There are basically no reviews of the MKII out there!  Tried them out a few times myself before and considered the purchase, but didn't  get a good enough impression, other than that bass was quite impactful for a dual-BA!

I'm curious about the Mikros 90 too, but the more I read the more I get confused. Lots of conflicting opinions, and comfort seems to be a major issue for some too...am not sure if they'd be an upgrade for my current Aviators which have been a surprisingly excellent portable headphone...

The aurvana is a good deal at $60. Compare favorably to the shure se425 with a very mid-focused sound. Spent $90 on mine and sold my shures because they seemed redundant.

    Ortofone e-Q5 short review

I've had the EQ-5 and EQ-7 and loved them both (especially the EQ-5)   I often think of getting another pair, but keep wondering if Ortofon might release a  new IEM and fix the few issues I had with the EQ-5 (lack of cable cinch and not being ideal for use on the go)

    Shure SE535 replacement cable

Actually there is an official cable that is 1.2m (shorter than the 1.6m that come with the se535) Good/bad point is no memory wire (i find it doesnt always stay behind the ears so well) Its also quite a bit thinner than the stock cable, less bulky but a bit flimsy. Its usually about $50 - for...

    In a dilemma, Um3x or W3?

Both UM3x and W3 are great. Personally, I think the W3 would be better for the genre's you mention as they are a bit more V-shaped and particularly good for metal!     Though the UM3x does have amazing separation that can be good for picking out details in Metal, I would give the W3 the...

Lost my SE215, bought Creative Aurvana In-Ear 3, but found the SE215s... Do I return the In-Ear 3?

I have both and like both! The IE3 do have less bass than the 215, but it's a fairly smooth and likable signature,  I think they are pretty hard to dislike.    If you are looking for very bassy IEMs that are good for getting pumped for your workout I would also recommend the 215LE (tuned...

    The most overrated IEMs

This thread just shows how different many peoples tastes can be!   I found the W3 to be an excellent fit (though Um3x was even better, best fitting iem I have owned).    Also I hated the UM3x at first, regretted buying it, but ended up loving it! Whereas I loved the W3 from day one.  ...

    The most overrated IEMs

I am surprised at the hate towards the w3 as well. It might just be the most UNDERrated iem to me, and much prefered it to the w4!

Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread

Bass on fi-ba-ss is really underrated. The BAM really gives them some dynamic like impact. Head to head tey just blew my w4s out of the water and prompted me to sell them at the time!

HELP! Westone 3 vs Westone UM3x

I have owned both as well. Both are excellent earphones. I had um3x first and sold it to get w4...big mistake!! After the w4 i picked up the w3 and loved it, even more than um3x! I listen to about 90% rock, maybe similar to you, and imho w3 are amazing iems for ROCK I found um3x good too...
