Reputable place to get custom molds for Etymotic?
Well, no response from Etymotic, so I’ve placed an order with Sensaphonics in Chicago. Something they mentioned that might be of interest is their lead time is now 6 weeks rather than the 2 weeks listed on their website.- swduncan

Reputable place to get custom molds for Etymotic?
So I made an appointment to get impressions taken tomorrow, and went to the Etymotic site to order custom molds both for my ER4SRs and regular ear plugs…and they’re out of stock on everything. Methinks they’ve decided to get out of those products but I’ve contacted them to be sure. Regardless...- swduncan

Where do you go biking?
No trails for me. Quick trips to the grocery store and other errands. Those pics are getting me interested to find some trails, though.- swduncan

Tornado, in my front yard!!! Holy!!!
That's some scary stuff! The weather here in the upper midwest has just been crazy. We got 7" of rain here in Milwaukee, and we're supposed to get more today. Rather have the rain than tornadoes, though!- swduncan

swimmers ear....
Yeah, and having hearing again after a period of poor hearing will make the new gear sound even better. Nothing worse than paying for expensive next day shipping and not getting the benefit, though.- swduncan

DIY Disaster? Steel Speaker Wires....bad?
Magnets stick to ferrous metals, which are mostly iron. Copper is a different metal altogether. It's kinda wild that someone would actually go to the trouble of counterfeiting wire though. -

How do I mail a laptop ?
My advice is to take it to someone like Mailboxes Etc. and let them pack and ship it. Laptops have a pretty difficult weight to fragility ratio, and just putting them in a box with padding around it isn't as foolproof as it might sound.- swduncan

I think listening to music is quite tedious.
Mowing the lawn, cleaning, raking leaves, any activity that's fairly mindless and boring is an excellent time for quality listening with headphones. Sometimes I'll listen to an entire double live album, others I'll just listen to my shuffle. -

Monster Cable Sues Blue Jeans Cable
I'm not surprised. Monster has become nothing more than a marketing company using what was once a strong brand to lure the unsuspecting in Lowes and Home Depot into paying more for less. -

Shure foam expanding too fast
There are two different animals being discussed. The foams are foam eartips, and the olives are single flange eartips. The olives aren't going to stay compressed at all and are designed to be just pushed in. The foams are supposed to stay compressed, but I find that they lose that property...- swduncan

What music are you listening to at the moment?
The soundtrack of the broadway production of The Lion King. My 3-year old daughter loves it, and it's growing on me.- swduncan
