    i would of never have thought that SS amp would be a match to the 800's due to the alleged brightness people say about them always tube was the go!. I must be the only person that hasn't tried the 800's no matter what headphone i have had i still think about them and wonder what they are like...

    Searching this particular thread seems very difficult, i just received my Rag (haven't connected it yet) and was hoping some people could give their thoughts or guide where to look into impressions with the Elear, if they are good match for the Rag or i need to get a different type of headphone...

    Yea seems like a good price point and balanced in and out which i like, i have also been advised to look at Airist Audio Heron 5 amp & Aune S7 which has separate LH & RH and reasonable price which is good. Googling as we speak!

      yes like i said I have no idea! and now i understand as I have installed the suggested resisters and its sounds horrible distorted! guessing not enough power?   as above, i totally understand what you mean now! it doesn't match these cans out all not enough power? quite disappointed now...

    I have no idea! ok so reason for low volume because tube amp has no load. as under a quarter dial and its very loud!   well I have the amp now and stuck with it so I will use the resistor, havent used the amp since being on the forum. So I have no issue in buying a good resistor.  ...
