Try to swap batteries i.e. change the bottom one to be the top one

The issue that a file plays for a while and then there is a constant noise usually appears on a stock firmware with a flac files encoded with high compression settings. With stock firmware I suggest using flac with compression no more that 4, or even decode them in wav. Also there are issues...

What firmware do you use? stock or rockbox? What file format you're playing when having that issue?

Are there any other custom chamber manufacturer apart from Lawtoon?

Totally forgot. My replacement ebony from massdrop appeared with totally different earcups. Also the cable from one of the cup is a bit shorter (~0.5cm) Not sure if they could be replaced as massdrop site says that there could be minor differences in the wood (although to me it is major differences)

Contacted Dekoni directy as per suggestions and they sent me Th-x00 pads and allowed me to leave the th-900 pads as well. Tried the th-900 shipskin today and there is something missing compared to stock. Probably will sell them

Forgot to mention. My X00 ebony arrived with the following lacquer issues. I don't know what that is but I've tried car polish and it didn't help. Contacted massdrop and they offered free replacement although I asked for a wooden cup only

there are Dekoni TH-900 ear pads and they fit X00 but they are changing stock sound. Look at the graph on the top of the page - green and blue are Dekoni TH-900 ear pads (that can be purchased directly from Dekoni) while red is massdrop dekoni X00 pads That's why i'm waiting for another earpads...

according to the graphs provided by @cskippy yes. The best pads are massdrop dekoni sheepskin (the best I mean the most flat one) I'm waiting for the drop to grab a pair

Do you have a massdrop version of pads or the TH-900 ear pads that can be bought from Dekoni web site? I suspect they are different

That's exactly what I've noticed when I heard them for the first time. I own grado Alessandro 2 and mahagony TH-X00 sounds exactly like the grado with the boosted bass.

Finally got mine. Stock earpads are quite comfortable for me. My ears fits in perfectly. Stock cable seems quite good (I don't know whether someone did recabling or not) although I'm gonna change 6.3 to 3.5 plug. Sound is amazing. Still thinking of changing the cable to silver plated
