Sorry, haven't tried the Shure tips but Comply foam tips will definitely fit on the 400s.  Hopefully someone else can chime in on this...

Can't speak to the ms01, but I've had a pair of RE-400s since last year and haven't encountered any of the issues you mentioned. They're definitely a great neutral IEM that fits your criteria. I haven't gotten great isolation with the stock tips, but it seems you're already covered on that front. 

The Audio Technica ES7s might fit your bill for the most part.  They aren't collapsible, but the cups do swivel and they are quite portable and stylish imo.  ~$70 on the classifieds occasionally.

Anyone using non-stock tips for their Hifiman RE-400s?  Haven't really been able to get a good seal and have been looking at getting some Comply tips.  Also, any recommendations among the Comply tips too? There seem to be quite the variety available.

I'll second the RE400s. Got em new for $100 late last year, but you can probably find them for around $70-80~ on the classifieds.
