Yahba Opus anyone?
I did buy them after reading the review at ipodlounge, and well put it like this I now read their reviews with a LOT more sceptisism... They are crap! Muddy sound, no treble and bloated bass. They are not even "proper" canal phones and doesn't block sound very well.- Surfsmurf

No headphone amplifier can "repair" a bad and noisy signal, which is what built-in laptop soundcards usually outputs. Get an Echo Indigo.- Surfsmurf

EAC to not simultenously rip and encode settings?
Go into the "Database" menu and select "Compression Queue Control Center", and in the dialog that pops up select the "Make all compression tasks sleep" check box. Now rip your CD(s), and when you are done just deselect the check box.- Surfsmurf

hdcd compatible
Since HDCD multiplexes in up to four extra bits per sample, all your computers hardware/software must support 20bits samples for HDCD to make any sense.- Surfsmurf

Firewire and USB 2.0 with iPod?
3G iPod's have USB 2.0/1.1 support built-in but you will have to get the USB/FireWire combo cable separately since there is only a FireWire cable in the box. Also the iPod will not charge through USB.- Surfsmurf
