What sillysally said... I have a modded 6SE and it sounds phat after a couple of minutes. I actually don't notice a difference between 10 minutes warm-up and three hours. YMMV Hmmm...I need to spend some time with my just arrived Marvin Gaye "What's Going On" LP today...

    WA6 and WA6SE Tube Reports

Well, I've seen quite a bit here about various tubes with the WA22, so I though it might be good to have a thread for us WA6 owners. Here's what I can give you with my upgraded WA6SE, k701, and vinyl as a source: First, I'll start with the power tubes, all 6EW7. Raytheon: These were...

    WA6SE/EML 274B Aesthetic Question

    WA6SE/EML 274B Aesthetic Question

Ok, I know I'm being a little OC about this, but the WA6SE looks so good, and this is bugging me. The EML 274B's pins are oriented such that the plane of the mesh plates is edge-on from the front, meaning that to fully appreciate the beauty of the glow, you need to view from the side. Also...

The receiver is connected to a cable box via optical, audio, and component video. I disconnected the coax feed to the cable box, and the hum persisted. I also unplugged the power of all components except the phono stage and headphone amp, and the hum persisted. When I disconnected the...

    Ungrounded interconnects...help, please

I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around this. Of all my components (phono stage, DVD player, CD player, power amps, receiver, headphone amp), only the head-phone amp has a grounded power plug. Does this have some impact on my problem?
