Da8 owner here.. Bought it long before the review came out..remains a huge fan of yulong after one month of listening :)

@Project86,   You should definetly try DA8+V200, The clarity of the sound of this combo is phenomenal (at least from my standard). Equiped V200 as amp, DA8 blow my prev D100 mk1 out of water so hard. I'm using single ended T1 and using PCM thru USB as source.   Thanks,   Robin

From my first experience it may seem that DA8 has a little recessed highs, but weirdly enough DA8 has much more high freq details.

Some very brief comparisons between DA8 and D100 MK1: Soundstage wise, DA8 is significantly better than D100. Because of bigger soundstage, DA8 has better layering and is more capable of identifying the locations of each instrument. Smoothness: DA8 sounds much smoother compared to D100...

I'm having a tough time choosing between these two.. both with similar price and based on project86's review on yulong a100, similar sound characteristic.. Anyone who ever audited both?   I really appreciate if someone who heard both can give some comments,   Cheers,   Robin

I used to use dt990 as my gaming headphone, and I like it is great! Some games take for hours so you really need a comfortable can such as dt990.

A HD600/650 user arrived!  I got both headphones with aftermarket cables.(ZU mobius for HD650 , cardas for HD600) I have to say that HD650 has more bass impact and more all-rounded. HD600 is more suitable for classic. But a brand new hd650 cost way more than your budget,so I would recommend...

From your music preferences, i can say that K701 is not for you plus it's really need a suitable amp, something tuned for k701. haven't audited d2000, no comments. For HD600,i think it's doesn't have enough bass for the genre you mentioned. For a budget of $500, I would say get a pair of...

I got gazillioin pair of apple stock headphones. They sound not bad at all- after so many years of listening experince.....I often use them before bed since I don't care if I accidentally snap the cable..!!

the popularity of Monster has it's own reason. Beats definitely looks sexy and a lot of people see it as one of the most important factor while choosing headphones, or simply because Kobe Bryant use Beats as well.

Did you try Zu Mobius before? I have this combo and i have to say that it is really really good. Everything is just better. I AB'ed several times and I can never go back to my stock cable.
