Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600
I ended up buying the denon's again after trying a dozen or so headphones. Nothing compared to them in terms of the lively and rich sound they produce. Also I find the midrange is more than okay and I think it was down to all the extra the detail in the sound- I wasn't used to headphones that...- subfrequenz

Hi great review. I've just bought some myself. My first impression is that the treble is soft- does Burn In bring out more detail?! I like bassy headphones and recently demo'd some Denon AH-D600 which had stunning detail and treble but vocals were recessed too much for it to sound natural. I...- subfrequenz

should i get the Sony MDR-zx300 or the Zx600?
Thanks for that. I'm actually waiting for a pair of V moda M100s to turn up next week. Good reviews on here and people seem to suggest there's enough midrange too for such a bass heavy headphone. Still, you can't tell until you put them on!- subfrequenz

Good point, and it has been alluded to in one hifi shop that I visited that if I spend £500 instead of £200 I can get a fuller sound. How much do you need to spend to get 'the lot'?!- subfrequenz

should i get the Sony MDR-zx300 or the Zx600?
Hi, I have recently been roadtesting many headphones as I'm looking to upgrade from my Sony ZX-600s. I recently listened to some NAD headphones that were £250. To be honest they weren't that much better than the Sony's with my iphone 4s! I personally find the Sony's have a soft treble...- subfrequenz

Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600
Hi, I've just bought these to use on my Macbook pro and Iphone 4s. Must admit I love the rich bass and treble that's not too overbearing. However, I'm finding that the midrange/vocals seem to be very quiet at times. Would burn in make a difference? I'm not into overly upfront vocals eg Grado...- subfrequenz

Hi, Thanks for your detailed review. I was wondering about the midrange/vocals...did you find that they opened up a bit after burning in? I do find that the bass (which I love!) and the treble do seem to overpower vocals sometimes, which is a shame as I love the richness these cans produce! I'm...- subfrequenz
