look at the 497's.....

yea, but i guess after a year thats to be expected. I mean, up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago these phones were great! I used the hell out of them though. Everyday, they would get at LEAST 2 or 3 hours of use......

i'm wondering, are these headphones, "open over the ear" (studio type) headphones, or closed headphones? the pics only show the front, and i need some good cans....
