The FiiO X1 Discussion and Help and Support Thread |192K/24B|100mW | LO | inline remote
Sorry if this has already been discussed. I'm looking for some help. My X1 is not playing some (most actually) of my flac (redbook) 16/44Khz rips. It keeps saying unsupported file format. I've upgraded to 1.3fw. I hope I won't have to re-encode my whole 128Gb Flac library on the card. ...- stino

Chord Hugo - The PORTABLE discussion thread
These are only my opinion & only meant to be constructive and not as criticism. Don't get me wrong the Hugo does sound very good (especialy concidering it's small size) and I thought the combination of the Alpha Dog with the Hugo, at the Essen Camjam last month, was some of the best on the...- stino

Chord Hugo - The PORTABLE discussion thread
I had the chance to listen to a Hugo Chord dac yesterday, with my own headphones and reference music. As it’s been raved about here by a nr of people, as being the “best” theye’ve Heard, etc.. , I had high expectations. I’m probably going to be shot for suggesting these, but being honest...- stino

Reply to review by 'stino' on item 'HiFiMAN HE-560'
I’m surprised by your conclusion. I had the change of listening to these last night. I was unimpressed. I found the pads very none compliant with my headshape and they lacked clamping force, therefor the seal didn’t seem sufficient, which probably accounted for the lack of bass weight and...- stino

A free parametric equalizer for Windows Vista, 7, and 8 that doesn't need ASIO or VST, it works inline at the OS level
I'd put it like: "It's all in your mind". Unless you're wearing headphones and are assuming the mind is in the head (which is a mistaken assertion accoording to the eartern philosophical tenets), but I'm digressing... ;-)- stino

I’m finding SQ is significantly better using the Wasapi/ASIO a-synchronize driver and disabling Windows audio services. Unfortunately this also means APO stops working. I’d be very interested in a fix for this.- stino

Help Selecting Amp and DAC for Sennheiser HD650 - $1000+ Budget
I’m missing Audio-GD options in your list. I’m currently enjoying a NFB-28 very much, which is hard to beat on price/performance, which drive my LCD-2’s with ease. In contrast to what MalVeauX is suggesting, even though his arguments make total sense & looking at it from your perspective, you...- stino
