Need advice : Sennheiser HD700 or Schiit Bifrost+Ascard or Hifiman HE-500
Hi fellow audio enthousiasts, I’m in need of some advice. I currently have two pretty great opportunities, but I only have the money for one off those. Opportunity A) A Schiit Bifrost + Schiit Ascard for +/- € 300,- Opportunity B) A Sennheiser HD700 for +/- € 350,- I’m leaning towards the...- Steven112

Looking for a pair of IEM's
I use a lot of IEM’s at my work, and as you can see in my sig I own a nice collection. I did find I had to make a compromise. The best sounding IEM’s I have are the Monster Copper’s, the ones with the best isolation are the Yamaha EPH-100. But at work I tend to use the Shure SE315 the most...- Steven112

Looking for the best IEMs ($100 - $150 price range) for EDM music.
I have owned the se215 and loved the sound, so I upgraded the, to 315. They are great IEM's, but not very bass heavy, and not my favorite IEM's to listen to EDM with. If I where you I would consider the Beyerdynamic DTX 101 or the Yamaha EPH-100, both should be in your price range. Both have a...- Steven112

Help looking for over the ear headphones for travel/regular use
I would ad the Shure 840 to your short list, my brother has the same headphones. He uses them for travel (Commute to work) and at his job. They sound pretty nice, I would describe it as clear. They are very good at vocals, not a lot of bass but enough. He is very happy with them, though he...- Steven112

Best IEM under $50?
Sorry, don't know about them. All i can tell you is, whenever a friend ask me for advice on a cheap but good IEM, I tell them to get the Soundmagic. And they all love it. You would have to spend much more if you want to get a better IEM imo. I have a nice collection of IEM's, and the sound...- Steven112

Need help to choose my new headphones
I listen to a lot off different music styles. But mostly pop (Michael Jackson, Queen, Lorde, etc) and I like some dance (Deephouse stuff, kygo) some metal/rock (Ozzy) and lately a bit off jazz as well. The HD598 and HD600 sound great, at least for my taste. And as far as I know, you can't...- Steven112

Looking For Warm Sounding Tube Amp
I own a Darkvoice 3322. And love the sound, I believe the 336 would sound great as well. Like Justin said, the Valhalla is very neutral for a tube amp. The Project Ember should be on your shortlist, it's very nice to tube roll with. And a lot more affordable.- Steven112

Need help with deciding on an External DAC or Sound Card for near-future upgrade
The X-fi HD is great as well. Worth considering imo. I have rub it with a HD598 and a HD600, both work great. And have recently compared it to a Schiit Modi, and can tell you. You need to really look for the ‘beter’ quality there. So imo the X-fi is the better buy, because it good for gaming as...- Steven112

Sound card with headphone AMP
I've got a X-fi HD, and that works great. Can drive my HD600 just fine. The asus cards a great for music, but not so much for gaming. So i would go creative, if gaming is important.- Steven112

Need help to choose my new headphones
Hi, Don’t know if this info helps you out. I used to run a Sennheiser HD598 with a Creative X-fi HD. And I can tell you, the sound was very nice. A plus with the X-fi was that it supports different gaming settings as well. Later I got myself a HD600, and that was a nice improvement. Yet...- Steven112

No sound difference between X-FI HD and Schiit Modi
Thank you, it’s clear to me now. I do notice a very very small difference, but reading the reviews. I just expected a lager (more noticeable) improvement. Seems my expectation where a bit to high J Also some of the terminology is not always clear to me. I have not been an Audiophile that...- Steven112

No sound difference between X-FI HD and Schiit Modi
Uhmm not sure if I understand you completely, I'm actually a little bit confused. So I'll try to explain what I think you are saying. The Meier is an ss-amp, and with that you connected serveral diverent cd-players and could hear a distinct difference. But that the sound your DAC gave you was...- Steven112

I did not think about that.. But since I don't own a solid state amp, I can't test it.- Steven112
