Maybe the phones were new, I asked the guy at the both, but he didn't know.

I have lisened to empy with euforia aniversary at a show for maybe 20-30 minutes, it was first day almost nobody there. And it was very mediocre sound, there was lack of control on bas and no sparkle. Auris headonia was 10 times better.

I really can't decide. Empys are so relaxing and comfortable and they play everything (even very bad recordings) at least good.

LCD2 is in another league then HEDD. I am compering them rather to meze empys or final d8000.

Maybe yes but few friends who listen mainly to metal and rock, said they didn't like them. I think that there are to neutral for them.

That the depends what will be the amp, the very best sound I heard from empys was from AURIS HEADONIA and it is single ended. But with gsx-mini, they sound better from the balanced output, but there the difference isn't that big. There is huge difference in single vs balanced output from AK...

Founder edition is very tempting. Are the there any other differences besides the signatures on the box and the earphone?
