From what it sounds like we talk about/try on headphones? I've got some AKG K271 MKII's that could use some sharing :) never really done anything like this haha. But if you don't mind me tagging along, I'd love to go. How does this all play out/what exactly happens if you don't mind me asking?

Rokers definitely right on that. Decided I'm gonna get a JDS Labs Cmoy and a Fiio E10 :) although it seems everything I've learned so far has just gone completely downhill now that I find out about cables XDD this so ridiculous :P

The D-zero should be perfect. Unless you want to do a portable amp, dac combo in which you'd have one at home and one portable.

Portable though? I'm either looking for a one unit combo or two units, one being a DAC and one being a portable amp.

*Bump* would it be better to purchase something like the FIIO e11 for on the go and keep a an E10 at home or get an Ibasso D-Zero for it's DAC and portable amp? Or switch any of those to get the max sound quality for about $150?

If I were to only purchase a portable USB DAC amp, would the Total Bithead get the job done well? What others would be above it's quality and sound?

Meeeeeeh, $400 is pushing it. I'm really happy with what I'm reading about the CX5's especially since I've never been introduced to something of that high quality sound. And sounds good about the sub. Definitely saves money. Also, that's super legit that you used to enter those car competitions...

If I were to purchase the M-Audio CX5's, would I also need to obtain a subwoofer or can they pump out a hefty enough and pleasing bass for someone who's going to be searching for it? The reviews I've read haven't answered that question.
