I am of the same opinion: i don't hear harshness in he100se's treble, on the contrary I was very sensitive to Sennheiser hd800s. He1000se for me has the right formula of detail, soundstage, midrange and bass. I could listen to it for hours. Maybe i would like a bit more bass rumble but i 'm sure...

I use Violectric v281 too + v850 and in this configuration He1000se has a great bass and i can't find any problem with high frequencies. My other headphone is a Sony Z1R , and for me He1000se aren't so dry as many says.
