I have the exact same issue. It will only intiliaze if I shutdown and wait a couple minutes. I haven't been able to find a fix. I've tried it on Win 7 and Win 10. Hopefully their next driver works better.

Does Hifiman HE-350 sound better than the Senheisser 598? I'm still on the fence on which headphone to get. I might pair it with a Powercolor hdx soundcard.
