  I didn't have much problem with the W4R bass. I thought it was of the right quantity in fact. Or at least to my listening preferences, it had the right quantity of bass. If you did feel the W4R was lacking I guess you'd have reason to rejoice :)

Yup EQ is off. IEM in line out kind of reverses the problem. the low end disappears while the high end suddenly becomes very sharp. That said I do think my unit is working fine, probably just looking for better performance in the high end.

There's an interesting guide based on sound signatures if you google "earphones sound signature" or something like that. There's some pretty solid recommendations which you probably might want to check out :) The sound signature of your Klipsch should sit somewhere around V-shaped or bass.
