Need recommendation on PC/TV setup
I am actually leaning towards the Edifier R1850DB. I can add a subwoofer later if I need that extra oof. With the R1850DB I can run optical from my motherboard while keeping my headphones plugged in. Then all I have to do is switch over the audio for movie / TV time and its golden.- slyjoker87

Need recommendation on PC/TV setup
Here's what I've been looking at so far: 2.0: Edifier R1280DB Edifier R1850DB 2.1: Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Edifier USA 2.1 Speaker System (M3200) Edifier S350DB But lets think for a second. If I do want to eventually upgrade my headphones, wouldn't an amp option be a better choice? I can...- slyjoker87

Need recommendation on PC/TV setup
Yeah, I think my priority for speakers is actually mostly for movies. I game with my headset, and I've figured out that plugging in the HD595 into the back drives them as well as anything it seems. I don't really care for the subwoofer unless you guys think its going to make a big difference for...- slyjoker87

Need recommendation on PC/TV setup
My wife and I use the PC in the living room as a movie / gaming station, and I just upgraded to a 43" 4k display. I've got about 12" of clearance on each side of the desk. What I'd really like is a nice pair of speakers, and something to take better advantage of my Sennheiser HD 595 headset. My...- slyjoker87

Little sounds you start to notice (and drive you nuts)
Ever since I bought a reasonable pair of headphones, I've been noticing little sounds in everything. For instance, I notice the looping wind audio in a skyrim dungeon, or weird left / right discrepancies in some of Nine Inch Nails recordings. It's starting to drive me crazy because it breaks my...- slyjoker87

Kilts? I'm unconvinced.

Kilts? I'm unconvinced.
Quote: I think the counter here is that skirts and kilts actually accomodate mens' anatomy better because they are less restrictive in the crotch. I can't count the number of times that I have come home and taken off my pants because I'm tired of my crotch being squished. Maybe the...- slyjoker87

Kilts? I'm unconvinced.
Quote: Right, but I'm talking more about the modern kilts that are not tartan. I can understand getting away with wearing a woman's jacket because it may be indistinguishable and better cut. However, a kilt is a skirt-like piece of clothing that you can't mistake.- slyjoker87

Kilts? I'm unconvinced.
So, I was having a debate with my girlfriend last night about dudes wearing kilts. I think that, aside from traditional scottish garb, kilts are probably too riské in most societies. For instance, there are a few companies which make contemporary kilts (UtiliKilt, USA Kilts, etc.) but are these...- slyjoker87
