PS4 with 3.5mm x2 Type Headset...
Makes sense to me. I've actually got both the Astro PC Y-Adapter and the Turtle Beach chat cable coming in so I'll be able to try both methods against eachother.- slug

PS4 with 3.5mm x2 Type Headset...
Have you tried the Y-adapter? I have been reading mixed information on whether it actually works or not. These threads confirm that the Y-adapter does indeed work with an external mic: http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/is-the-pulse-elite-best-bet-for-ps4.453570739/page-2...- slug

PS4 with 3.5mm x2 Type Headset...
I've tried to go through this entire thread but can someone confirm for me what would be best for my setup: I own a PS4, Astro 2013 Mixamp Pro.... and would like to use one of the 3rd party headphones I already own (Sennheiser HD600, AT M-50, AT A900, Grado SR225) along with an external clip...- slug

macbook->*dac?*->HeadFive->HD600
Hey all I was wondering if you could recommend a DAC to place in between my Macbook and Headfive with Sennheiser HD600's plugged in. I havent been around headfi for about a year or more so I am no longer in the loop on things. My modest budget would be around $100 to $200US. Thanks!- slug

Edmonton-And-Surrounding-Urbanities Team, ASSEMBLE!
hey there. i havent been active on head-fi lately but i just saw this thread. I'm surprised at how many Edmonton (and surrounding area) members there are here! I may be able to come, though I'm not sure if I can add much new to the list of gear. Here's what I could bring: Sennheiser HD600...- slug

Best option for getting an HD580 cable reterminated to 1M or buying one seperate?
one of your less expensive options could be the headphile senn v2. It's considerably cheaper than the other "upgrade" sennheiser cables. I have not yet heard it so I can't give you any impressions as of yet. http://headphile.com/page17.html -

Recording quality of the RH1
The quality of your recording would mostly depend on your mic setup. If you have good quality mics and a battery box (or alternatively a cheap attenuator) you can get great recordings from any venue. I recommend Sound Professionals as they have great mics for reasonable prices. I personally...- slug
