The discovery thread!
What would you recommend in the $500ish range? I'd been looking at them, if nothing else they are very pretty and I do like that.- sleepdeprecation

Best tips for Pi7 S2
I love the azla sednaearfit maxes on my airpods pros (on all of my iems honestly, but they work really well with the airpods), highly recommend. -
The discovery thread!
I recently got the 7hz Timeless AE, and they're lovely, 95% of the time they're what I crave when I'm listening to music, the bass amount and detail are amazing. But sometimes I want a little less bass. What are some sub ~$300usd IEMs that people like that are neutral-warm/harmon-ish/V-shaped...- sleepdeprecation

Best IEM's for $200 Canadian? Please give me your suggestions!
where do you think you are? this is not the place for consensus :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: But also, you didn't even let the thread live for a day (and only four and a half hours from specifying your sound preferences), which look I get, sometimes you want the buy the thing right now, but... -
Best IEM's for $200 Canadian? Please give me your suggestions!
Not to diss the HOLA, because I did find it pretty nice tonally, I just personally found them a little fatiguing. After about 20 minutes I was like "these seem just a little bit shouty for me", which is not a problem I had with the Cadenzas, but I also can be somewhat treble sensitive, and I... -
Earbuds that work on a plane?
I think there are a number of bluetooth IEMs that have the ability to connect to a 3.5mm jack (I think specifically the Bowers and Wilkins Pi7 s2 can do it, I don't know of any other brands off the top of my head with that functionality), but you can also get a bluetooth transmitter dongle like...- sleepdeprecation

Best IEM's for $200 Canadian? Please give me your suggestions!
Just some general recommendations: I haven't used them, but the Simgot EA500 has been getting rave reviews in the discovery thread and chifi thread, at about $110CAD I do have the KiwiEars Cadenza (a little less than $50CAD), and I quite like them as a reasonably priced basshead IEM, maybe... -

New Sony Walkman NW-A300 Series (Android 12)
I'm really glad to hear the bass issue is fixed! I've been following this thread for a week (when I started thinking about maybe getting an A300), and this bass issue was really making me hesitate on pulling the trigger (the other thing making me hesitate is that it doesn't come in a fun color...- sleepdeprecation

Portable Dac
As much as I love supporting buying new audio gear, I'm not positive that a new DAC will actually solve your problems? Just given your statement that your IE80 can't handle the speed of the bass sometimes, a DAC probably isn't going to fix that. Just given your description, the problem would...- sleepdeprecation

IEM recommendation
I have the Sennheiser IE300, and I think overall it's fine, but I almost never reach for them anymore. In the same price range, the 7hz Timeless AE is (I think) a fantastic option, and it has some brain rattling bass. Before getting those I was all in on the Sennheiser IE600, which I still quite...- sleepdeprecation

Suggestions for under $60 USD Wired IEMs?
The Moondrop CHU is $20 and on amazon so you don't need to go over aliexpress unless you want to. Non-detachable cable, but the cable can be worn down or around the ears- sleepdeprecation
