Hello, Am selling my Focal Elegia bought at launch in 2018 but have barely seen any use at all because I could never adjust to the sound signature (I prefer warm Harman Neutral so pretty much the opposite of these) and am clearing my unused headphone collection. Got them in 2018 as I was...- skyline385

Campfire - Solaris
I can definitely agree on that one. I have always found Foam tips to boost the lows and add body to the mids. I havent used Silicon tips in an IEM in decades probably since i am really sensitive to sibilance. I am also guessing the size of the Solaris only adds to the fit issues. I am gonna go...- skyline385

Campfire - Solaris
This is a trend which i have found while looking at reviews too. Some reviewers claim that the Solaris has more mid presence and is clearer in the highs than the Andromedas, the general consensus being that Solaris are "balanced" whereas the Andros are warm and laid-back. Comparing their...- skyline385

Campfire - Solaris
I do agree that there will be variance but i expect it to be minor. Some of the reviews i read were talking about the mids being hollow & recessed which they attributed to the variance. And one of the main reasons i went for the Solaris as an upgrade is because i wanted the soundstage of Andro...- skyline385

Campfire - Solaris
Well i ordered them from Music Direct since CA store has backorders. Regardless, i am still interested in knowing about what happened with this issue. Sometimes, it might not be apparent in the beginning but over time you begin to notice it and you find yourself out of the return period...- skyline385

Campfire - Solaris
I just ordered the Solaris as an upgrade to my 2 year old Andros. However, looking through reviews i came across some old threads talking about Mid variance among different units and tonality issues. Does this still persist or was it resolved? I even paid extra to have them delivered quickly...- skyline385

Focal Elegia - what do you think?
There is no sound leakage. I use them at work and asked my coworkers about it just to be sure. Isolation is pretty decent, i don't expect to use them in something like public transport so can't comment on that but at my workplace, they drown out the outside noise pretty well.- skyline385

Focal Elegia - what do you think?
I got mine yesterday and here are my impressions so far. I have been using my Andromedas for almost a year now and i needed something more comfortable for daily use at work. Tonality: This is where these might actually attract a fair bit of controversy as already seen in some comments here...- skyline385

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
There are some apps but they mostly tend to distort the sound. I have tried tons of them on my V30 (paired to my Andromedas) but most of them even go as far as to disable the ESS DAC on the V30 when enabled and use the default Snapdragon one. Since the only DAC on the X7 is the ESS one it might...- skyline385

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
If i understand correctly, VIPER effect requires your phone to be rooted to be installed. I don't think it's available on the market sadly.- skyline385

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
That's really disappointing. I bought the X7 assuming it would be system wide and i could use it with some of my streaming apps too. So, you can't tweak the music then on any of the streaming services?- skyline385

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
I just ordered one and it should be here today but i am concerned about the EQ distortion posts i am reading. Is the EQ really bad on the X7 MK2? Also what about VIPER effect and it's FIREqualiser? Moreover, i just saw in some videos that VIPER effect can be accessed only through the Music app...- skyline385

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova
Yea they clearly state that B-stock will have visual defects and mine has it in the form of two tiny grey-ish dots on the right IEM again. But this Bass port opening issue i just noticed when cleaning them today. I might have to call them up tomorrow for it.- skyline385
