A dedicated amp is an amp that has the only purpose of being an amp. Since I am using my DAC/AMP as a DAC/AMP, then it is not being used as a dedicated amp. Should be fine. I've been running mine through a Fiio K9 Ess for over 6 months. No dedicated amp required.- skschatzman

I've had the 109 Pro for about 6 months. I've read a lot of what people have to say on this thread, but didn't get involved until now. I have a few different cables ranging in price from $10-$120 that I've tested myself. I prefer the monoprice cable I paid $20 for the best.- skschatzman
