"Dolby headphone" feature on Xonars. Xonar DG vs Xonar Essence ST with optical out.

My setup: Optical cable Little Dot Dac II Little Dot MK III HD650   I had a Xonar Essence ST some a year ago and I could remember I was pretty satisfied with the dolby headphone feature, for some games it was awesome (others not so).   Now I am wondering if I can get the same...

Best Gaming Headphones.... With Poll? BUDGET: £100-£250

Quote:   This is my setup LD DAC1 > LD MKIII > HD650.   Are you sure the XB700 is an improvement over the HD650? The XB700 is just 60 euros where I am from... So if it's true what you say they are, then it would be a terrific bargain for the characteristics that I want, wider...

    Do soundcards also need burn-in

I had the xonar stx, I don't know if its based on the same built, but they were also very forward. It really hurt my ear after 15min, and I mean hurt in the sence that I just couldnt listen any longer. So I always turned the 3D effect on that came with the card. Sound quality went down hard, but...

    Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling

Wow, I replaced my stock driver tubes with the EF95 CV4010. And I must say, wow, I can hear the difference already. Better mids, the overall sound is also a bit different, which I like (could use a change after a year with the stock).   I was thinking about upgrading my amp, but playing...

Little Dot MK III: An Exclusive Review (56k warning!)

I also have the LD MKIII, loving it for its price.   But I dont understand why you claim the soundstage is enormous, it's to my experience only a bit wider than without. I use it with the LD DAC1 and HD650.

Little Dot MK VII+ paired with a HD 800?

According to the HD 800 reviews its superior in a number of areas to the 650. So my definition of better/superiority is based on those reviews. I choose the LD VII+ because I read that its hard to beat in that particular price range. All my choices are based on reviews/impressions on this...

Little Dot MK VII+ paired with a HD 800?

Current setup: Little Dot Dac I > Little Dot MK III > HD 650. I expect to get a HD 800 in the coming years. But before I get there I would like to replace my LD MK III with the LD MK VII+ (Little Dot Amplifiers • View topic - Little Dot MK VII+ Balanced Headphone Amplifier). Now will...

Review of the Purepiper DAC A-1 - An excellent 24/96 budget DAC

I havent ordered the purepiper yet. I find it odd that I cant find any info about possible warranty. Does it come with warranty? (My little dot mk3 failed on me after 2 months, luckily I could sent it back for repairs.)

Review of the Purepiper DAC A-1 - An excellent 24/96 budget DAC

I think I will look no further. It is a cheap DAC so I can live with the fact that some other DAC may be better. Thanks again mate.

Review of the Purepiper DAC A-1 - An excellent 24/96 budget DAC

What are the competing DACs in this pricerange? I am about to order the purepiper, just need one more quick check on the competing DACs. Thank you for the fast response.

Review of the Purepiper DAC A-1 - An excellent 24/96 budget DAC

My setup: laptop --> no DAC --> little dot mk3 --> HD650. How does the purepiper sound with my setup? I am afraid the mid/upper will be too profound. If I am right your review says that this is only the case with an expensive (unforgiving) amp. Hope to hear from you soon.

    DAC/Headphone Amp Combo for Gaming

I have the xonar stx and it sounds like crap without my little dot mk 3. In both music and gaming... No soundstage at all without my amp. Everything sound very crisps, but too flat and aggressive (especially mid/highs), hearing fatigue after 15min. I am very dissapointed with the xonar stx.
