Dekoni pad massdrop for HD800(S) - any advice?
The HD820 has a different mounting mechanism than the HD800, so they do not fit. The HD820 simply presses into the ear cups...it's a shockingly simple system. I know this because I also own the HD820. As you may know from my previous post I greatly prefer the sheepskin pad with Dekoni dust...- shyamwanne

Dekoni pad massdrop for HD800(S) - any advice?
I also found the pads to be very easy to change. I tried Sheepskin, Fenestrated, and Hybrid pads. Bar far my favorite was the sheepskin, without the stock dust cover. This combination raised the detail level of my 800S to just amazing levels. I have a pretty high end system, and this...- shyamwanne

REVIEW: Comparison of 5 High End Digital Music Servers - Aurender N10, CAD CAT server, TotalDac d1-Server, Auralic Aries, Audiophile Vortex Box
I have been in communication with Adrian at thelinearsolution.com about their new server coming out. Their music server and endpoint (renderer/player) will be a very limited run released in august or September this year. An info page should be up this weekend on their website for pre-sale...- shyamwanne

Combo Review: Euphony PTS - Matrix X-SPDIF 2 - Keces P8
So what does everyone think of this update to Euphony Stylus? Personally I love it! I think it has taken Euphony to a whole new plateau, and the improvement is not subtle. To be honest, I am shocked that just software alone can make this much of an improvement. But I'm grateful because I...- shyamwanne

Combo Review: Euphony PTS - Matrix X-SPDIF 2 - Keces P8
I had the same issue as dcguy73. I updated to Stylus, Then got a link from audiokernel.com to get my registration number. When clicking on the link I get a message saying ‘invalid registration’. Hope this gets fixed, as I’m excited to try the upsampling feature Euphony Stylus has:). That...- shyamwanne

The DIY'rs Cookbook
Thanks for you reply JJ, and now you got me really wondering about cable cooking. I've been curious for some time if cooking the cables makes a bigger improvement than just playing music for 150 hours or so. What cooker do you use, and have you found it to improve your listening experience?- shyamwanne

JJ, I’m curious if you ever tested the Synergistic Black Receptacle against the Furutech GTX-D NCF. I seem to be always chasing that extra bit of veil lifting that you mention too! Ha ha- shyamwanne

The DIY'rs Cookbook
I tried both the Fenestrated and Standard (no little holes) Sheepskin Dekoni pads, and agree that the Fenestrated did not improve the sound. However, using the standard solid sheepskin pads without the stock dust shield proved to greatly improve detail, dynamics and soundstage. It was not a...- shyamwanne
