Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Hello! Sorry about your headband, good luck with repairs/ upgrade. On a different note, I noticed in your gear list that you’re using Sennheiser IE 900 for portable use. Could you possibly describe or compare its sound signature and other characteristics with the Elear‘s? I do know that...- ShreyasMax

@Sennheiser - It would be nice if a demo or listening session at any place can be arranged locally as I’m looking to purchase the IE300. Sennheiser has been the brand that got me into high fidelity headphone audio in the first place more than a decade ago. Unfortunately there are practically no...- ShreyasMax

Vorzüge VorzAMP PURE II - review and impressions
Sorry if this has been asked or answered before, but would the Vorzamp products be an overkill if connected to the Mojo? I'm using Focal Elear as my main headphones. Thanks in advance!- ShreyasMax

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Ola from India, Having owned the X2's since 2015, I too thought of trying something more refined, especially in the treble region since that's where I felt the X2 were slightly 'grainy' sounding, and I ended up buying the Focal Elear. I must say they can be considered a well rounded upgrade...- ShreyasMax

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
Hello there, I had the same issue about a month ago, then took it to Bombay (Mumbai) where the dealer (one of two here in India) checked the headphones, said that the coil was broken (he didn't know the reason, told me it could've been a sudden blast of high volume, which I highly doubt) and...- ShreyasMax

Cowon Plenue D
Hello, Don't know if you've ordered yet, but as per your stated requirements/ preferences, the Plenue D is still one of the best buys for exactly those purposes. Also do have a look at the newer similar sized DAPs released by Cowon, named Plenue J & Plenue V. As regards the Plenue D (and Cowon...- ShreyasMax

Seems Cowon is releasing new players by the bunch; just spotted this little sharp looking player (don't know how the ergonomics would turn out though) on the Cowon India page, do have a look: Plenue V...- ShreyasMax

Good to see the Plenue D in the midst. Also, is that a Sony ZX300 DAP towards the left? And what is that player on the top left? Looks like an AK KANN- ShreyasMax

Hidizs AP60II - youngest in HiRes family but worth every cent
Thanks indeed for your suggestions, I'll see what I can come up with. Meanwhile, I've impatiently pulled the trigger on the AP60 (Mk II), couldn't wait for the Shanling M0, and also thought the 1.54" screen might be too tiny for yours truly! Anyway its a small increase in price from the 1st gen...- ShreyasMax
