In short, Bob thinks LCD4 is more accurate from sub-bass to midrange (up to 3kHz) than Utopia.  as Tyll's frequency response and phase measurements show, it is true.

It seems that phase coherence is hard to achieve in open-back dynamic headphones. HD800, Utopia, you name it. Their phase are all out of whack. I hope Klipsch has solved this problem. AudioQuest almost did with their semi-open NightHawk.
