High pitched whine from front headphone jack
I had this problem on my last 3 cases: Silverstone Raven 2 Antec P182 Antec 900 I noticed it's worse when mousing over links on websites. Turns out it's a ground issue where the headphone jack and USB ports share the same ground. I had two options, either cut the ground or...- shilent

Gaming sound card question (hardware processing)
My Titanium Fatal1ty Pro does NOT pass EAX, CMSS-3D, or the Crystalizer through optical. Not sure if the HD will.- shilent

I'd like to buy the Swan M10's, but I need a headphone jack.
Windows volume is pretty much my only option, and it's already too loud at 10%. I could adjust the volume in my music players, and video in game settings, but then general Windows sounds will make me deaf. Negative on the gain switch.- shilent

I'd like to buy the Swan M10's, but I need a headphone jack.
Quote: Thanks, those would work great. Now I just need to decide if I wanna spend and extra $110 just to use headphones. At that price, I'm considering going amp + passive.- shilent

I'd like to buy the Swan M10's, but I need a headphone jack.
Hmm, but then this would render my X-Fi useless. I still would like EAX and CMSS-3D when playing video games.- shilent

I'd like to buy the Swan M10's, but I need a headphone jack.
Quote: I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying to connect the amp and M10 to my sound card using a splitter? Any loss in sound quality this way? I have an E5, could I just use those? Edit: (took me forever to find this edit button) I see the e10 has line out, nice, but how do...- shilent

I'd like to buy the Swan M10's, but I need a headphone jack.
Space is an issue for me and the size of the M10 satellites would be perfect. Why doesn't Swan have headphone jacks on their speakers? What would be the best way for me to use headphones with the M10's? A splitter and plugging in my headphones directly is not an option, the volume coming from...- shilent

Cowon S9, is there something smaller?
I'm looking for a portable audio player and I'm liking everything I read about the S9. Is there anything like the S9 but smaller? I'm mainly looking for sound quality and easy to navigate songs (touchscreen). I do not need video. I tried the new Nano and something like that would be nice...- shilent

Head-Direct RE2 defective?
I've had my RE2 for about 5 months now, I haven't used it much but yesterday I noticed that the left side has a irritating rattling noise, much more noticeable on low frequencies. Using test tones, I can easily hear the rattling noise using frequencies below 200hz. This does not happen on low...- shilent
