Headphones for Ipod (with no amp)
Actually, I have a good pair of Shure canal phones. I prefer them for airplanes, walking outdoors, etc. However, I want a pair of cans that I can wear at my desk. (I need to take them on and off alot so I can answer the telephone, and canal phones really won't work for this purpose).- shade

Headphones for Ipod (with no amp)
Who can offer a suggestion for a pair of headphones that would work well with an Ipod? These are the considerations: 1) I don't use a headphone amp but I want to be able to get good volume out of the Ipod; 2) my ears can't tolerate canal phones; 3) I prefer some degree of sound isolation...- shade

RF Problem with ASL MG Head DT/OTL 3
No, they're not shielded. I've tried $200 Carolina Cables and $50 Monsters and $25 stock cables, and its the same result with each. Actually the stocks are best because I can twist them around until the RF sound disappears. I think shielded cables might be a good way to go. Any recommendations?- shade

RF Problem with ASL MG Head DT/OTL 3
OK, I took the amp back to the store, along with the rest of my rig, and tried it there. I experienced no problem with RF. I therefore conclude that my house is located in a place with heavy radio activity. More diagnostic info: 1) this is commercial radio that I'm picking up - I...- shade

RF Problem with ASL MG Head DT/OTL 3
I could use some suggestions: The MG Head was my first tube amp. I thought the sound of this amplifier was great - deep, rich, mellow. I could listen to it for all day without fatiguing my ears. The problem was that I got static and radio noise, esp. when the volume was low. Moving the...- shade
