    Beyerdynamic Custom Pro Plus?

I currently own a sweet pair of DT770 80-ohm and a BSG Cmoy amp, and am looking for something different. Not drastically different but something maybe a bit more bassy. I've read a couple of reviews and they are highly recommended, but what do you guys think? Anyone own a pair and would like to...

got the DT770 Pro 80 Ohm and returning them

I have the DT770 80-ohm and bought an affordable Cmoy amp from eBay (BioscienceGuy) and it's makes a big difference. They're quiet and limp without an amp. As soon as there's a decent amp involved, they become a different animal.

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-ohm mini-review

A couple weeks ago I decided to look into a new pair of cans. The ATH-A700x and A900x took my attention for a short time, but I didn't want a repeat of my past experience. The A700's I had owned a few years ago left a lot to be desired in the bass department. Many years ago, before I bought a...

Design changes over the years with DT770?

These are the ones in question. It says "Professional" on the headband bracket:     I had assumed that on the other earcup (what a weird assumption) it would look like this:     There's clearly a difference, and I'm assuming the ones that actually say "DT 770 Pro" on the earcup are...

Design changes over the years with DT770?

I'm curious to know if there were any design changes to the outer ear cups on the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones, from the 80's through the '90s and up to today. I've seen some variations in photos I see online, but can't tell which one is the older. Also, did they change the speakers over...

What next after owning HD280 Pro and ATH-A700?

After careful consideration, and extensive review-reading and comparisons, I decided to go with the DT770 Pro 80-ohm. The velour pads and longer cable are quite appealing (will be using them while watching movies as well as listening to music). The receiver I have can barely drive sub-30 ohm...

What next after owning HD280 Pro and ATH-A700?

I'm very much sold on the DT770, likely the 32 ohm because I'll be using them on my iPhone as well. Now I just have to find one with the soft cloth pads at a good price. Thank you so much for confirming my original choice (DT770).

What next after owning HD280 Pro and ATH-A700?

Thank you for the suggestions. I've also been reading up on the differences between closed and open headphones, and the common difference I'm seeing is that with open-back cans, the "soundstage" seems to be further away. Is there a huge difference between the 2 with how the soundstage is...

What next after owning HD280 Pro and ATH-A700?

After owning a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro and Audio Technica A700, both of which are long gone, I have decided to buy a new set of headphones. I appreciate closed-back for isolation, and listen to rock, some rap, movies, and video games. The HD280 Pros were pretty neutral, and lacked the...
