    Has anyone experience a significant sound improvement using a balanced output/cable with the ES-100? I think the output sounds awesome using the non- balanced output but as I recall, feelings were mixed. Thanks!!

    I use my FA1s with the ES100. I bumped up the bass using the EQ and I absolutely love the sound! Detailed and solid bass.

    Wow! I saw that Amazon has the TMSR -4s for sale last week for $189 and now they jumped in price by $100 over the weekend. Or was that just my imagination??

    It would be interesting if you could provide a picture of the raised buttons on your new unit. I am wondering if they are raised due to manufacturing variation as opposed to a revised design.

    I also own a pair and they isolate great with one of their stock tips......and even a bit more than the FA7s since they are smaller.

    They also have a 2.5 balanced version out now, but I haven’t seen it on Amazon yet.

    I was just happy that I enjoyed the FA1/ES-100 more so than the FA7 combo. Saved some $$ so I can continue to explore differing avenues of audiophile earphones. :)

    I returned the FA7s. If I am going to EQ a pair of earphones to get the sound profile I want.....might as well EQ a $100 pair than a $300 pair. For me - I made the right decision and have no regrets. Loving the FA1s.

    Glad that I am not the only one who thinks the FA1s are really are good in comparison to other FiiOs. I just combined the ES-100 to the FA1s and bumped up the bass a bit. I am all smiles after going back and listening to the same songs again. The big bonus is that these are quite comfortable...
