Are you a console or PC gamer?
You can actually buy some pretty good pre-built desktop PCs at fairly reasonable prices now. It's a slightly older video, but the system isn't half bad.- saturnotaku

Are you a console or PC gamer?
I gamed pretty much exclusively on the PC from the Commodore 64 era through 2001. From 2002 through maybe about 2012 I used consoles more but still always had a top-flight gaming PC. From 2012 to now, I'm back to basically PC exclusivity. My PS3 is now the family DVD player and streaming device...- saturnotaku

You can set up a price-drop alert on Adorama's website so they'll email you if you don't want to visit their website every day to check.- saturnotaku

Best gaming mice
It's not the most aesthetically pleasing or gee-whiz/high-tech mouse in the world, but the Logitech G602 is the most comfortable I've ever used.- saturnotaku

Audeze LCD-4 Major QC Issues (2 pairs dead) 1 DOA
It's your time and money, of course, but if you got attitude from an executive at the company after reaching out, I wouldn't deign to give them another cent.- saturnotaku

Rate the video games you're currently playing
I'm playing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It's the first CoD game since the original Modern Warfare that I've spent more than a few minutes with, and I'm kind of enjoying it. It's by no means Game of the Year material, but I'm going in with the mindset of it being 80s action movie cheesecake...- saturnotaku

Seeking more upmarket headphones for gaming and music
Interesting mod. How do you get the stock pads off? I did bend the headband a bit, and it seems to help. I may actually take your advice and stick with getting just the DAC/Amp for the time being, see how it sounds, then upgrade later if I still feel the urge.- saturnotaku

Seeking more upmarket headphones for gaming and music
I appreciate all the responses so far. Obviously the general consensus is to go with the DT770s, but are there any other options I'm overlooking?- saturnotaku

Seeking more upmarket headphones for gaming and music
If I were looking at open-back models, the K7XX would be near the top of the list. I'm afraid that's just not an option in my case. After hunting around a bit more, it seems like the DT770 + E10K is going to offer the best bang for the buck. My question now is, which model DT770 -...- saturnotaku

Seeking more upmarket headphones for gaming and music
Hi Blze001 Thanks for the prompt reply. As much as I like the sound of the 553s, even without a DAC/Amp, I'm not 100% crazy about the feel of the ear pads. Combined with the fact that they feel heavy on my head (even though they don't actually weigh that much), I have a hard time wearing...- saturnotaku

Seeking more upmarket headphones for gaming and music
Greetings, I'm in the market to upgrade my AKG K553 Pro headphones. Most of my current digital library is from the last years of the Clinton administration, so I will be digging my CDs out of my basement and re-encoding them to much higher bitrate. The music will consist of 40% classic rock...- saturnotaku
